About Linda

Growing up on a farm in Lancashire inspired a life-long love of flowers; the beauty of bluebells and wild primrose, blackberries and autumn foliage have remained with me; however, some of my blooms are now a little more exotic.

I began with jam jars of wild flowers and miniature gardens and at the age of sixteen I undertook my very first class in floral art, little knowing this would turn into a career. As with many of my contemporaries, I initially followed a different career path within the education system, After leaving work to begin my family, I studied for my City and Guilds at Myerscough College and went on to take my floral demonstration exam, enabling me to demonstrate my skills at flower clubs across the country.

In 1995, Jim (my husband), and I, came across a property in the heart of Clitheroe; in the Ribble Valley, which was 'The Flower Shop'. After a number of years, we also bought the neighbouring property, in order to extend, and we are proud to say that we are one of the largest floral shops in the area. Although the business has grown considerably, our goals remain the same, to provide quality products, and excellent service.

Currently design work, liaising with clients and visiting venues take up much of my time, combine this with demonstrating at flower clubs and various charity events, it leads to a very interesting and exciting life.

To work with flowers has been my dream come true, which has all been made possible with the support of my family, friends and the amazing team of people I am lucky enough to work with.
